Apprenticeships

Our Apprenticships
Puffins Training offers unique and exciting apprenticeships in Early Years, a fantastic opportunity for those with a passion for working with children.  These programmes are designed to equip you with valuable skills through classroom and on-site training from our well-qualified, industry experienced teachers and assessors.

We also offer a range of apprenticeships designed to develop your career, such as supervision, management, mentoring, assessing and teaching early years practitioners.
Why do an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships vary from company to company, but the main key principles are the same.
They will offer you the opportunity to:
  • Work in a real job for a real employer
  • Gain valuable workplace skills and practical experience alongside wider skills needed for your future career
  • Have a salary and have a contract of employment
  • Have paid holiday
  • Achieve qualifications
  • Get support from colleagues and the training team
  • Become more employable because you will have experience of work
  • Have better career prospects once the apprenticeship is complete
Here at Puffins Training, we also offer structured support from our training team who visit the settings on a regular basis to check in on our apprentices and ensure they are thriving in their roles. We also have a support network of previous apprentices who are readily on hand to help coach and share valuable advice where needed.
What if I’m not employed at the moment?
Puffins Training works closely with its sister company, Puffins of Exeter Ltd, and can offer apprenticeship placements at one of their nurseries in the Exeter Area. Find out more information here.
